Our Cycling Trials - Thurahalli Forest

Myself had Rockrider 5.0. Recently upgraded to Rockrider 340. Started to go on weekend cycling, office commute etc.

Here are the trails.

Thurahalli forest

Level 0 with a bit of off roading. It was fun cycling in the forest, quiet and narrow paths. We started in the morning around 6.30 AM from Rajarajeshwari Nagar, reached Thurahalli around 7.15 - 7.30 AM. Here are the glimpse of the same

This shows the trail at the starting point

A very nice place little hiking

It was green all around

Found a peacock, there are other birds as well

After all these we came back by around 10 AM back. It was around 10-12 Kms of ride from Rajarajeshwari Nagar. I think its a good trail for starters and there are no traffic in this route.

Happy Cycling !

My cycling trip to Manchanbele Dam - nearly 60 km

My cycling trip to Manchanbele Dam

Our cycling track for the weekend was in a fix. We were in dilemma between Hesarghatta and Manchanbele Dam.

Finally, we chose Manchanbele Dam for only reason that it was near comparatively.

We started at 6.30 AM from Bangalore University. We wanted to avoid the traffic, so we took Ullal Village Main Road.

Here are the glimpse of Banglalore University at Morning.

It was unfortunate that the google maps is not equipped with Cycling tracks yet for Bangalore. We forced to land up with the Magadi Road which we wanted to avoid badly, instead wanted to go through the Tavarekere Kengeri Road.

But our GPS mislead us and landed in the crowded and pathetic Magadi Road for Cyclists.

There is alternate way as well, i.e through Mysore Road, we avoided for the same very reason "Traffic".

So, in the way to our destination, we had our breakfast in the last village where there was some decent hotel available at around 9.30 AM.

After we headed straight, cruising through the nature's beautiful village roads after passing Tavarekere, And after some point we need to take right which really is awesome track for cyclists.

Here are some of the snaps we enjoyed though the track.

After cycling for about another 75-80 minutes we reached Manchanbele Dam.

While returning we pushed ourselves hard through village roads and finally reached Banglaore University at around 2 PM.

My Bicycle Story

Follow your heart, there are some things your mind cannot understand.

I was very anxious about buying a bicycle. Due to budget and other constraints, I kept postponing.

One day finally the urge erupted, decided I would buy one. Tried to get second hand from olx and others. Finally thought to have a check at Decathlon site before jumping to a decision.

I wanted to entry level bike, so thought of going with Rockrider 5.0. Checked with the resellers, and got an awesome deal having discount of 30% from Snapdeal. I ordered the same night. Believe, it all happened the same day, just few hours after discussing about buying a bike with my friends during lunch.

Unfortunate for others, the next day it was out of stock.

I was happy about the deal and finally the bike arrived after 2 days, got all the accessories from Decathlon and got that fixed.

I am really looking forward for a wonderful weekends and peaceful evening ride, and a official ride every morning !!

Those days I remember, where most of the holidays were spend on wheels, going to Chamundi Hill, moving around where ever possible on Bicycle with friends.

If you have an urge to buy one, go ahead. It never too late to start living....
