Here is another opportunity to share. Experiments I
did with 55mm-250mm Canon lens in Bird Photography.
Got up early in morning, fled to Devarayana Durga, Tumkur
District, Karnataka to put my new lens to work to test its performance.
Its really powerful compared to the zooming capacity of
18-55mm lens which I has previously.
I was able to get some good snaps. But, you need to have really stable hands while shooting at its extreme zoom level. Image stabilizer helps, but not much.
Another technique is to use mono/ tripod, but setting those
up for bird photography will be pain as the birds are never in the same place.
So hold your breath, hands steady and click. That’s the secret.
Here are some of pics I would like to share where even with
such entry level lens can let you capture some decent good pics. These are the first experiments, its not best, but need to learn and take it to next pro level with limited equipment is the art.
And the pics are not processed, they are just cropped and have posted. It would have been still better after that.

Learnings
The 55-250mm lens has got its own limitation with respect to the
coverage. Landscape Photography will have its impact after using 18-55mm lens
Usage of monopod for the photography and its advantages over
tripod
Shooting with lens such as 55-250mm would need more stable
and quick shutter speed for bird photography. Hold your breath and shoot. Remember your sniper shooting games you played.
