The power of TV Mode (Shutter Priority)

As I had always been the lover of AV Mode (Aperture Priority) as other photographers, often missed some chances of taking wonderful snaps.

Bird Photography, where the precision, crisp and clarity is top priority I was a bit stubborn on the AV (Aperture Priority), and rarely used to get good one, when light is bad which resulted in long shutter speed, which in turn would make the image shaky.

This time the chance of being with wild life is tested with  TV(Shutter Priority).

When to switch to AV
-----------------------
1. When the photogrpahy is being done when there is abundance of light, and your shutter speed to fast enough to get decent photographs.
2. When the object is not in a hurry and you have sufficient time and have proper support to assure stability

When to Switch to TV
-----------------------
1. When the photography is being done in the places, where the light cannot be constant. There are areas where you shoot between shades and harsh sunlight. Mostly in forest areas and you have less time.
2. You cannot miss the situation and badly want a stable photograph.

Note :

Using on TV mode with a fixed ISO might also result in dark images. So, my advice would be to keep the ISO - AUTO

When using AV mode you can override the ISO to 100 for a crisp and a vibrant blurry background.

Chunchanakatte Falls

This is one of the most devotional, serene and scenic spot. Lord Ram has been installed here by Maharshi Aghastya with Seeta and laxmana as per the local mythology of the temple is concerned.

And here the cracking the coconut is done in front of Lord Hanuman, which is near the river. As Lord Ram here has granted Hanuman this special honour where the devotees worship hanuman first before Ram.

Here Devi Seeta had been bathing while they were in exile and the river has turned to the color of Shikakai and oil.

Also, this place is called Chunchunkatte because of the two demons called Chincha and Chunchi were causing havoc in this region and Lord Ram relieved the people by killing these demons.

These are the stories I collected from the locals about the temple.

Here is the glimpse of the this great place.

Oriental White-eye Zosterops palpehrosus

Once again, bird photography is again being experimented, when the birds has stopped chirping. I have often read many blogs, where they stop bird photography after noon because the birds would stop the chirping.

I too agree that chirping would help to trace the bird, but that's not the only way to shoot birds. You can keep your eyes open and look for it.

One advantage, is the sharp pictures you get at noon, because of the extra bright lights that been lit up by the sun. Here are some of the pics I got from the place around 1 PM.
